Fitness activity will combat stress, increase your energy level, improve your attitude, help manage your weight and make it easier to cope with your normal activities. Fitness classes allow participants to learn, grow and have fun in a supportive environment. Classes are free to members. Participants must be at least 12 years of age, unless otherwise stated. All instructors encourage participants to go at their own pace and offer modifications to accommodate all fitness levels. Take the first step today! Our nationally certified personal trainers are dedicated to helping you achieve your specific fitness goals. They’ll design a personalized fitness program specifically for you and your fitness needs. The benefits of personal training include a personalized program, goal setting, workout variations, accountability, encouragement and motivation, form and technique guidance and improved health and well-being. We’ll assess your goals and needs, and support your path to a healthy lifestyle.

Individual Personal Training (12 and older only)

  • Consultation & assessment (mandatory): Free
  • 1 Session: $30 member; $50 non-member
  • 5 Sessions: $125 member; $225 non-member
  • 10 Sessions: $250 member; $450 non-member, Receive 1 additional free session
  • 20 Sessions: $500 member; $800 non-member, Receive 2 additional free sessions

Small Group Personal Training (2 to 4 participants, 12 and older only)

With small group personal training, members can “buddy up” and help support each other while working toward achieving their health and fitness goals.

  • Consultation & assessment (mandatory): Free
  • 1 Session: $20 per member; $40 per non-member
  • 5 Sessions: $85 per member; $185 per non-member
  • 10 Sessions: $170 per member; $370 per non-member, Receive 1 additional free session
  • 20 Sessions: $310 per member; $700 per non-member, Receive two additional free sessions

Equipment, training & friendly faces

Wellness Center

In addition to our popular Fitness Classes we also offer a variety of wellness programs and equipment to help members evaluate their fitness level and take their exercise program to the next level.

Your membership also includes access to our Fitness Center-free for all members. The Fitness Center includes a weight training equipment, free weights and cardio equipment such as treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes and more.

Fitness Orientation

It is highly recommended that all members participate in this orientation to the Wellness Center. YMCA Wellness Staff are available to acquaint members to the use of cardio and strength training equipment. Emphasis is placed on proper weight training along with a demonstration of all strength and cardiovascular equipment and explanation of the room rules. Members must be at least 15 years old to use the Wellness Center, unless they are 12-15 and have completed the Fitness Orientation. Orientations take approximately one hour.

Body Composition

A quick and easy test to assess body fat percentage. You will receive instant results which will be a valuable tool in evaluating your progress. Ask our staff in the Wellness Center to assist you today! FREE for members; non-members $10

Ask A Trainer

You have questions. Our trainers have answers. Personal trainers will be on hand to once a month to answer your basic fitness questions, help you with your form or discuss your workout routine. Consultations limited to 10 minutes per person. Secure your spot by registering in advance.

American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

This class is designed for those who want to learn CPR and AED skills for adults, children and infants. Basic first aid skills will also be covered. Training is held from 5-9:00pm on the last Wednesday of the month in the Preschool Room. Minimum of 2 participants is required. Pre-registration is required. Certification is valid for 2 years.

  • Wednesday, August 30, 2017; Wednesday, September 27, 2017; Wednesday, October 25, 2017; Wednesday, November 29, 2017
  • Cost: $50 members; $70 non-members
  • This class is also offered at our GriffithSouthlake and Whiting branches different dates throughout the month.

American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training

This course, which is open to those 11 to 15 year old, is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. Topics covered will include such tasks as diapering, preparing simple meals and dressing. In addition, the course will offer ideas for toys and games to play with children as well as how to make safety a priority and handle emergencies. Participants also will receive materials that will help them succeed in their first job.
